Have you noticed how easy it is to get lost in a crowd?
We live in busy, demanding times! Not only are there the big issues—war, terror, financial jeopardy—but there is a plethora of smaller matters vying for attention: schedules, traffic snarls, weather, etc. If we are not careful, the important things lose priority to the urgent and loud.
Lots of organizations talk about money frequently and loudly in order to procure funding for their cause or ministry. This is not our style at LGI! Our belief is that if we reach out to you with Spirit-driven ministry, counsel, and opportunities you will reach back with financial contribution and support (ref. Gal. 6:6).
We will not hound you for contributions, but by God’s grace we will consistently minister to you. We will invest as much of your gift as possible directly into ministry. (For 2006, 100% of every dollar donated is returning to ministry outreach.) We will carefully manage the message and money entrusted to us. We will keep you informed.
Prayer. I wrote to you last month about this simple yet mysterious communication with God. On the one hand, He asks us to pray. On the other, what’s the point? He already knows and controls everything. What good is my two-cents worth offered in prayer?
Clearly, God desires that we talk with Him. How it is that prayer affects change, I haven’t a clue! But that is not my problem; it simply does. How God makes up His mind is His business. Perhaps I will understand better tomorrow than I do today, but for now all I know is that prayer regarding important issues is vital.
But more than this, others need you to tell them about Lifetime. Why? For the same reason LGI’s ministry is valuable to you: We effectively and efficiently communicate the essence of Life—Christ—and how He transforms lives. We uniquely guide the process of building a lifestyle anchored in the One who is Life.
What will it take for this ministry and message to flourish? Your prayer, your financial support, and your determination to pass the ministry to others via email, products distributed, your endorsement, and by your word of mouth.
Bless you,

PS My friend, I won’t talk about these things often, but I would fail us—you and me—if I did not bring clear focus to our mission: We must be about funding, prayer, and communication to others of the life that is our Elder Brother, Jesus the Christ.
