A Glorious Pursuit

What are you doing, and does it matter?

This question merits close contemplation, not only for yourself, but also for an organization like Lifetime that you support with your prayers and financial contributions: What does Lifetime Guarantee do, and does it make a difference?

Jesus went on to say that His life is spiritually “abundant,” filled with grace and truth. It is disconcerting, but many followers of Christ fail to realize anything close to spiritual abundance. Lifetime helps Believers troubleshoot their life and begin living as God intended.

“Without Me you can do nothing,” Jesus stated. We guide Believers’ understanding of how to depend upon Christ each moment as transformed people. This positions them to love themselves, their spouse, kids, tough colleagues, etc. But being in the right spot is not good enough. Lifetime helps Believers develop spiritually via the Holy Spirit’s intervention.

Paul said, “Imitate me as I imitate Christ.” Some would accuse the Apostle of arrogance. I don’t think so! I think he understood that people desire leadership. Once provided, people learn and then do for another what was demonstrated for them. Lifetime leads the journey with personal transparency and basic simplicity.

We take people to the heart of their Heavenly Father. On the way, we share our stories as a point of reference, anchor our theology in the rock of Christ’s finished work, and provide simple steps for reproducing the life of Christ each day no matter what comes down in life.

Does this matter?

Absolutely! What good is theology if it makes no difference in how you view God, think of yourself, treat others, and live life? The last thing we need today is something else to do tomorrow. Life is already hamstrung with irrelevance, idle philosophy, wrangling, and an Inbox hemorrhaging spam, chatter, and pointless time hogs. Our faith must stand out as different!

While many ministry folks talk of heaven when you die and forgiveness for your sins, as good and true as these are, I scream out from a morass of circumstantial goo, “I need something more! I need more power, more relevance, and more immediacy. I need something right NOW that is more than I bring to the table in and of myself!”

This is what Lifetime Guarantee Ministries does: We make the message of Christ purposeful, significant, and relevant right now, not just when you die or when you need a fix. We exist to assist you in living your heart’s desire: To know your Heavenly Father, live as He intended, and effectively demonstrate His life to others…beginning with those closest to you.

What will happen to Believers if they fail to understand that they live in Christ? What will happen if they fail to grasp that Christ in them desires to live through them instead of them struggling to live for Him? Sadly, I have not ever witnessed the Body of Christ in such disarray and perplexity.

Lifetime is ministering efficiently and effectively. The need is great! Please join us in this glorious pursuit. God does not need money! Truth be known, all “your” money is actually His. You are trusted by Him to manage His funds. He asks that you invest the money entrusted to you from the depths of your heart’s desire to advance His cause.

As you prepare your investment giving to conclude 2006, give like it matters, because it does! The cry for practical, spiritual guidance that ushers people into freedom and victory in Christ has never been greater. As the New Year dawns, Lifetime is delivering relevant, powerful ministry. Will you join us?

Happy New Year, my friend,

Preston Gillham

PS The research is scary! The Body of Christ is scattered. The younger generations are struggling to determine if faith in Jesus Christ is relevant. Lifetime speaks to the heart cries of Believers. There are many who beg for funds to ameliorate a crisis. LGI isn’t known for crisis intervention. We present Christ as life throughout life. We need your partnership.
