How My Dog is Little Bit Like God

Do you know which member of the family greets me first when I get home from work each day? It’s my dog, Wesley, a 16-pound Shih-Tzu (Careful how you pronounce that one). Wesley works himself into a frenzy the moment he hears the garage door moving. It doesn’t matter to him that I was too busy for him the night before while working on a project. He doesn’t even seem to remember how I got angry with him that morning when all he wanted to do was play with me.

I’m convinced that there is nothing I could do to cause Wesley to stop loving me and longing for my company. He never seems to remember times I have neglected him. He only knows that this present moment is a time to enjoy my company.

Could it be that God feels the same way about me as Wesley?
