I have an invitation for you to consider, and I do ask that you RSVP.

Thoreau said, "Most men live quiet lives of desperation." In my experience, he was right. I believe we all must be engaged in a noble cause, something larger than ourselves. It is essential to our wellbeing that we reach beyond our personal lives and touch others with a greater goal in mind.

God never intended for us to live in isolation or self-centered obsession. We are designed in our soul and spirit to give our lives away. In so doing, we create a personal legacy and propagate the life of our Heavenly Father.

How you meet this need in your life is not so much about what you do but that you do something. Being designed by God to give your life away and failing to do so is a contributing factor to the quiet desperation Thoreau wrote about. We must be committed to a cause greater than ourselves. This is part of what makes us tick as people.

Here is my invitation: Lifetime Guarantee has been involved for over a decade in various international outreaches, primarily into Eastern Europe. Once again, we have such an opportunity. However, this opportunity has more longevity than the other projects we have undertaken.

Roughly four years ago I spoke to a group of attorneys, parliamentarians, and law professors in Sofia, Bulgaria. They were affiliated with the Rule of Law Institute and Advocates Europe, both based in Sofia. The purpose of these organizations is to establish -- or defend -- the rule of law and religious freedom in those countries where the legal system and religious liberties are compromised, mostly from the Communist ideology of the last century.

In a summer 2005 meeting with Latchezar Popov, my friend and the President of Rule of Law Institute, LGI's Reny Madjarska, whose hometown is Sofia, asked "Latcho" what his greatest needs were. One of the needs Latcho spoke of was for help with the spiritual formation and mentoring of the 200-plus members of Advocates Europe and Rule of Law Institute. Most all of these men and women are attorneys.

I have prayed diligently for an outreach from LGI that will enable us as a ministry family to reach beyond ourselves to those longing to know the spiritual truths we have enjoyed as partners at LGI. After discussing this with Father and others, I believe we should join with Latcho and his team as an outreach of Lifetime Guarantee.

Quite literally, this endeavor affords us the opportunity to influence the spiritual formation and direction of a country and a region. Can you imagine the potential impact if the people working to rebuild the legal and spiritual tenets of their country are equipped with the spiritual truths delivered through LGI?

In a nutshell, we will disciple one small group of their members after the other. As they get their spiritual feet under them, they will be trained in the art of mentoring others, who will then follow their lead, etc. (ref. 2 Tm. 2:1-2). Our conviction is that as these influential people grasp a more thorough understanding of their relationship with Christ, and develop the ability to articulate this more effectively, their relationship with Christ will permeate their lives, including their legal and religious work. As free people, both politically and spiritually, they are a compelling influence with their countrymen.

After extensive discussion with Latcho, the doors are wide open. With your participation, we are ready to move forward. We are scheduled to be in Eastern Europe three times in 2006: April, June/July, and October. Would you engage with us? Would you pray? Would you invest?

Your investments in this outreach are important. Please understand though, I am not asking you to re-direct your regular support of LGI to this project. That would be counterproductive.
