Seen Any Visions Lately?

When was the last time you saw a vision?

I’m not necessarily talking about the kind of vision comprising dreams, like the vision Peter had on the rooftop or like Jacob had wrestling with the Angel of the Lord. I’m talking about seeing with the eyes of your heart, catching a glimpse of something that can be realized; the kind of idea that creates an intensity in the center of your chest. How long has it been?

Vision is powerful.

It can change whole countries. When Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his I have a dream speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial his vision galvanized the civil rights movement in the United States and recast an entire culture and country.

Vision is compelling.

It can cause people to rise to a noble occasion and demand more of themselves than they ever thought possible. When Winston Churchill declared, I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat, he energized the demoralized British people and their allies to sacrifice beyond their already superhuman contribution and rise up to defeat Nazi Germany.

Vision is invitational.

It presents options heretofore not considered, casts images of the future, and illuminates goals awaiting daring souls who will rise and climb stair steps leading to the vision cast for them. When Jesus declared, I will show you the Father, He invited all listening to see God as they had never dreamed of seeing Him. He invited them behind the veil and the cloud and the fire and the legalism and into a personal relationship with God.

Those who cast a vision possess discernment, perception, and shrewd foresight. In this way they are leaders. But those who speak of a vision to others are also needy people possessing great desire. They speak of vision because they need and desire others to adopt their vision in order to bring it into reality.

Our Vision

At Lifetime Guarantee we envision leading people to the heart of God, guiding them confidently through the fields of their fleshly landmines, and into the triumphant exaltation of the Spirit’s victory in their lives. We envision equipping leaders to lead with the full giftedness of their capacity and guiding them to communicate effectively. We envision training new Believers as well as more seasoned Believers into vibrant spiritual formation.

And you know what? These visions are coming to pass! But, we envision even more. The need is great! We are confident that if we collaborate in prayer and resources an escalating torrent of the Spirit’s work will be experienced.

What if...

Ready for a vision? What if, in addition to your current financial giving, you increased that amount by a sacrificial percentage? What if, in addition to your current degree of intercessory prayer, you spent twenty minutes online at the interactive prayer page of www.lifetime.org praying for others? What if you examined the Lifetime Guarantee resources on your bookshelf, considered which of these had ministered to you most effectively, and presented a copy of that resource to all those on your Christmas shopping list?

Did you know we are engaged around the world in ministry? We are, and never more so than in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. What if you adopted LGI’s discipleship efforts in Eastern Europe as a mission project for your family? Your Sunday School class? Your church? Believe me! Not much goes a long way in Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

Would you believe that more people come through our website every month than come through our conference ministry in nine years? It’s true, and it is growing. Is the web a weird and cutting edge ministry? You bet! Is it effective? You bet! Your contributions are an essential and practical way that you can adopt a vision of ministry in the twenty-first century.

Do you see the vision too?

Do you see it, just a glimpse of the vision? Do you see the stepping stones to the training the next generation? Do you see the myriad ways you can enjoin the cause and increase the momentum by simply praying, giving financially, giving ministry resources to others, and providing your endorsement through simple things like passing eGrace to your contact list, making copies of this letter and handing them out to friends and family, and forwarding the Disciple Journal to your pastor and other church leaders?

Would you close your earthly eyes for a moment right now and ask Father to cast a simple vision for you in response to this letter? What you are seeing is a vision from the heart awaiting you to take action.

Bless you, my friend.
