She recalled the GPS I gave her one year for Christmas. I couldn't understand how a GPS could be a bad gift? I didn't want her to get lost. What I didn't realize is that the time I spent writing thoughtful handwritten directions communicated my concern for her arriving safely.
Then there were all the flowers. Just last year she lovingly told me she never wanted flowers again. That's a good one to know. She said they were a waste of money because they always died. My sentiments exactly, but I thought all women liked flowers. Flowers are such an easy go-to gift for a man, that to not have this as an option is...well...painful.
Maybe you need (or your man needs) a little help in your marriage like I do. This week Bill continues the article he started last week about the importance of allowing Christ to love your spouse through you. I have to say that this truth has kept my wonderful wife loving me in spite of all the lousy gifts I give her.
