This past weekend gave us gorgeous weather, and the visibility from the top of Stone Mountain was 80 miles. The view from the peak was breathtaking. It was the clearest downtown Atlanta had ever looked. I could have spent the entire day there, but a 5 year-old and a 15 month-old have short attention spans, so we rode the cable car back down to the bottom.
No matter how long you stay on the mountain though, it's impossible to see it all. That's because only one percent of the mountain is visible above ground. The other 99% extends ten miles below the surface! Don't ask me how they know that.
Like the mountain, as Believers in Christ, there is a lot more activity going on in our life below the surface of our circumstances than what we can see. Faith is the evidence of things unseen (Hebrews 11:1). Though we cannot always see what God is doing, we trust that He knows our needs and is working in our worrisome situations.
If today you find yourself struggling with worry, then you don't want to miss Preston's 4-week series on Worry in our Lifetime Weekly series.
What circumstances are you going through, and how can you see that God is moving beneath the surface? Tell us about it on our Facebook page.
